KS3 and KS4 Curriculum

At Brayton Academy we want our students to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding to be successful lifelong learners.

We sequence our curriculum to allow our students to build on prior knowledge and develop fluency in the subjects they study. Students will leave us as confident learners ready to access the next stage of their learning and able to make a positive contribution to the world around them.

Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of our students; its core aims are:

  • To develop fluency and confidence across all subjects by developing both knowledge and skills.
  • To develop resilient young people.
  • To make progress in all subjects.
  • To develop self-confidence and self-worth.
  • To raise aspirations and the aspirations of our community.
  • To achieve qualifications in a range of subjects.
  • To equip our students for their next stage of learning and beyond.
  • To develop British citizens who respect the rule of law, the rights of others and who make a positive contribution to our community.
